When I graduate…
…I’ll never read another book.
…I’ll only read for pleasure.
…I’ll never write another book report.
Whether it was high school or college (some of us maybe elementary school? J) – if we didn’t verbalize one of these sentiments, it probably crossed our minds. Many times. We were tired, frustrated, and ready to move on with our lives.
Truth? As much as we hated it then, we should never stop learning. To grow, to advance, to improve – we must continue to learn.
Five years from today, we will be the sum who we are today and life over those five years – the experiences we gained, the books we read, the podcasts we listened to, the videos we watched, and the people we hang out with. Positive or negative.
Accelerated (positive) growth happens with intentional effort but know that the opposite is true as well. Regressive (negative) growth happens with no effort at all!
We are blessed to live in a society and in a time that accelerated learning is possible. Take advantage. Be intentional about your learning (and never “graduate”!).
