High Plains Food Bank Tyson Food Distribution

If you’re struggling with food insecurity, please bring your ID and join us at Bethesda Outreach, located at 1101 Fritch Hwy.
***Must be present to receive a food box. Due to limited supply and high demand, no one will be able to serve as a proxy for a friend or family member who is unable to attend.
High Plains Food Bank, in partnership with Bethesda Outreach and Tyson Foods, will distribute food boxes to alleviate hunger and strengthen the community. Recipients will receive a 16-pound food box that includes 4 pounds of dry goods, 6 pounds of protein, and 6 pounds of produce.
To keep staff, volunteers, and the community safe, distribution will be done via a drive-through. Visitors will remain in their vehicles, and volunteers will observe social distancing and wear masks and gloves.

Amarillo Area Foundation Nonprofit Leadership Academy

Join us the third Wednesday of the month, January through August 2021, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm and learn from experts in our nonprofit community. Gain the knowledge you need to be a productive and effective nonprofit Board Member.
Topics Covered Include:
· Introduction to Nonprofits
· Board Governance
· Fundraising
· Financial Responsibility
· Must Have Documents
· Nonprofit vs. Civic Leadership
At the conclusion of the training, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and enjoy a Graduation Celebration with the opportunity to connect with nonprofit leaders who are committed to diversifying their boards.
Registration fee for all eight sessions is $125.00 per person and includes all materials. A limited number of partial scholarships are available
Eligibility Requirements
The goal of the Nonprofit Leadership Academy (Cohort A) is to reach out to under-represented sections of our community and prepare individuals to serve on nonprofit or civic boards. We are specifically seeking young community members, community members of color, and those who do not have board experience.
 
Please note: If you feel you do not meet the above eligibility requirements but are still interested in the leadership training please consider enrollment in the Nonprofit Leadership Academy (Cohort B) which will start in April 2021.
